The Malibu Int’l Film Festival kicked off what should be a long and beautiful festival tour for Gynos. And it couldn’t have gone any better. Gynos took down TWO of the biggest awards there:
– BEST SHORT FILM
and…
– BEST ACTOR
Huge “props,” as they say, to our entire cast, crew and supporters for believing in this quirky comedy about gynecology. And a huge congrats goes to Brandon Olive for taking home the Best Actor hardware!
The whole weekend was pretty amazing. We saw some brilliant films, we attended some “brilliant” parties. This being our first festival, we had no clue if we’d even be nominated, especially when we’re competing against some gritty, dramatic think-pieces. I guess Gynos is a think-piece as well, just from the opposite end of the spectrum. When they announced Gynos as the winner, we all jumped out of our chairs and ran on stage.
